Your driver waits at the entrance to the centre, near the harbour: the cathedral square is pedestrian and closed to cars. From the hotels along the coast road, pickup is right in front of the property.
The drive from Amalfi to Salerno Airport covers about 45 km and takes about 55 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Travelling to Salerno Airport, the time you leave matters more than the time you arrive: we suggest departing about 3 hours 55 minutes before your flight, which covers the drive plus the wait at the terminal. Tell us the flight time when you book and we work backwards from it — including the morning traffic on this stretch, which is not the same as the afternoon one.
We drop you right in front of the departures area. The airport is manageable and two hours ahead is usually enough: we agree the departure time together, based on your flight.
Salerno Costa d’Amalfi airport, at Pontecagnano, is the closest gateway to southern Campania: Salerno is about twenty minutes away, Paestum around half an hour, the Amalfi Coast just under an hour. Landing here saves an hour on the road compared with Naples when you are heading for the coast or the Cilento.
