This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and local storage tools are used by www.transfernaples.it, what they are for and how you can manage them. It forms an integral part of our Privacy Policy, which you should refer to for information on the data controller, your rights and retention periods.

1. In short

This website uses technical cookies and tools, that is, those strictly necessary to make the website work and to deliver the services you expressly request. Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021, your consent is not required for these.

There is also one advertising profiling tool: the Google Ads conversion tag, which tells us how many bookings come from our adverts (section 3.6). It is not loaded until you expressly accept it in the banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. We also use Google Analytics 4 (section 3.7), likewise subject to your consent, to measure how many bookings are completed: that figure feeds the advertising conversion count. We do not sell your data to advertising networks.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to your device, where they are stored and then sent back to the site on your next visit. Alongside cookies there are similar technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — which store information in your browser without automatically sending it to the server. The law treats them in the same way as cookies, which is why we describe them here.

Cookies are either technical (necessary for operation or requested by the user) or profiling cookies (used to build a picture of habits and preferences for advertising purposes). They may also be first-party, if set by this website, or third-party, if set by a different domain.

3. Tools used by this website

3.1 First-party technical tools

  • lng — stored in localStorage. Remembers the language you selected (Italian or English) so you do not have to choose it again on every visit. Duration: permanent, until you clear your browser storage.
  • bookingData and tourBookingData — stored in sessionStorage. They hold the data you enter in the booking form (route, dates, passengers, selected vehicle) as you move from one step to the next. Without them your booking would be lost every time you change page. Duration: until you close the browser tab.
  • tn_cookie_consent_v1 — stored in localStorage. Records the choice you made in the banner, so it is not shown again on every page. Duration: 6 months, or until you change your preferences.

None of these tools can identify you or track you across other websites.

3.2 Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited)

The booking form uses Google Maps Platform to autocomplete pick-up and drop-off addresses. The tool is loaded only on the pages of the booking flow and not on the informational pages of the site (home, blog, guides, transfer pages).

Google Maps is used here as a tool technically necessary to deliver the service you request: without it the address fields cannot be completed correctly and the route cannot be calculated. For this reason it is included among the necessary tools.

When the service loads, Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser, and may set its own cookies on the google.com domain. Google acts as an independent controller for the processing it carries out on its own platform.

3.3 Hosting (Aruba S.p.A.)

The website is hosted on Aruba S.p.A. servers located in Italy. The server records standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) for technical and security purposes. These are not cookies but browsing data: see section 2.2 of our Privacy Policy.

3.4 Fonts and assets

The website's typefaces are hosted directly on our own server: no request is made to Google Fonts or to any other external CDN while you browse.

3.5 Social networks

Our pages contain plain links to our Facebook and Instagram profiles. These are ordinary links: they are not embedded widgets and they do not install third-party cookies unless you click them. If you do click them you are taken to the relevant platform, where the privacy notices of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited apply.

3.6 Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) — only with your consent

The site includes the Google Ads conversion tag (gtag.js, ID AW-18370967366). It tells us how many bookings come from our adverts, so that we can measure how well our campaigns work.

The tool is off by default: the script is not even downloaded until you accept the Marketing category in the banner. If you refuse, or if you make no choice at all, your browser never contacts Google's servers for this purpose.

If you consent, Google may set first-party cookies on this site's domain — typically _gcl_au (lifetime: 90 days), used to attribute a conversion to an advert click — and receive your IP address, technical browser information and the page visited. Google acts as an independent controller for that data.

You can withdraw your consent at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer: on withdrawal we switch the tool off and delete any _gcl_* cookies already on your device.

3.7 Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) — only with your consent

Alongside the advertising tag we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used and, in particular, how many bookings are completed. That figure is what feeds the conversion count in Google Ads.

This tool is also off by default and is activated only if you accept the Statistics category in the banner. When active, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies — typically _ga and _ga_<ID> (lifetime: 2 years) — which assign your browser a random identifier used to tell visits apart.

When a booking is completed we send Google Analytics an event containing the booking amount, the currency and a transaction identifier. We do not send your name, email, phone number, or the pickup and drop-off addresses.

If you withdraw your consent we switch the tool off and delete any _ga* cookies already on your device.

4. Categories shown in the banner

The "Customise" panel of the banner shows four categories:

  • Necessary — always active, cannot be switched off. These are the tools described in sections 3.1 and 3.2.
  • Functional — non-essential tools that improve the experience (for example embedded media). We currently do not use any.
  • Statistics — traffic measurement tools. Covers Google Analytics 4 (section 3.7). Off until you accept it.
  • Marketing — advertising profiling cookies. Covers the Google Ads conversion tag described in section 3.6. Off until you accept it.

The three non-necessary categories remain visible and switched off: should we introduce any such tool in future, it will not be activated until you expressly authorise it, and the banner will be shown to you again.

5. How to manage your preferences

From this website. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. The banner will reopen and you will be able to make a new choice.

From your browser. You can block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings. Please note that disabling technical tools may prevent the website from working properly, in particular the booking form. Instructions:

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

If we introduce new tools or change the purposes of existing ones, we will update this page and the banner will be shown again so you can make a new choice. The date it was last updated is shown at the top of the page.
