Your driver waits at the marina entrance or at your pontoon, holding a sign with your name. It is a big site: give us the pontoon number and we come exactly where you are, suitcases included.
The drive from Marina d’Arechi to Sorrento covers about 59 km and takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Coming from Marina d’Arechi, you do not need to plan anything: we track the arrival and the driver is there when you actually land, not when you were scheduled to. Waiting time is included, so a delayed flight or a slow baggage belt costs you nothing extra — you walk out and the car is already there.
We drop you at your accommodation’s door, in the centre as well as in Sant’Agnello or Marina Grande. On the pedestrian streets around Piazza Tasso your driver stops at the nearest accessible point, usually a few metres from the entrance.
Sorrento is the most practical base on the gulf: hydrofoils to Capri leave from here, as does the coast road to Amalfi and the Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. The centre is compact around Piazza Tasso and entirely walkable, but arriving by private car removes the town’s one real drawback — its crowded public connections.
