We pick you up at your accommodation along the SS163 or in the side streets of Vettica Maggiore. Properties below road level are reached on foot: your driver stops at the agreed point and waits for you.
The drive from Praiano to Sorrento covers about 23 km and takes about 55 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Between Praiano and Sorrento the car is yours for the whole leg: luggage stays on board, and if you want to stop for a photo where the view opens up, you just say so. There is no extra charge for a short stop along the way — it is the difference between a transfer and a shuttle.
We drop you at your accommodation’s door, in the centre as well as in Sant’Agnello or Marina Grande. On the pedestrian streets around Piazza Tasso your driver stops at the nearest accessible point, usually a few metres from the entrance.
Sorrento is the most practical base on the gulf: hydrofoils to Capri leave from here, as does the coast road to Amalfi and the Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. The centre is compact around Piazza Tasso and entirely walkable, but arriving by private car removes the town’s one real drawback — its crowded public connections.
