Your driver picks you up in front of your accommodation, in the centre or in the Marina di Vietri hamlet. Access is easier than elsewhere on the Coast, so pickup is nearly always at your door.
The route from Vietri sul Mare to Salerno is roughly 6 km and takes about 20 minutes. It combines fast sections with winding stretches climbing and dropping between the hills and the sea, where local knowledge of traffic and narrow passing places genuinely saves time.
Between Vietri sul Mare and Salerno the car is yours for the whole leg: luggage stays on board, and if you want to stop for a photo where the view opens up, you just say so. There is no extra charge for a short stop along the way — it is the difference between a transfer and a shuttle.
We drop you at your address, in the centre or along Lungomare Trieste. If you are continuing by ferry to the Coast, we drop you right at the Molo Manfredi pier.
Salerno is the second gateway to the Amalfi Coast: it has a high-speed rail station, a port with seasonal ferries to Amalfi and Positano, and one of the finest seafront promenades in southern Italy. Travellers coming from Rome by train often get off here rather than in Naples.
