Your driver waits at the entrance to the centre, near the harbour: the cathedral square is pedestrian and closed to cars. From the hotels along the coast road, pickup is right in front of the property.
The drive from Amalfi to Molo Luise covers about 64 km and takes about 1 hour 25 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Travelling to Molo Luise, the time you leave matters more than the time you arrive: we suggest departing about 2 hours 40 minutes before your boarding, which covers the drive plus the wait at the terminal. Tell us the boarding time when you book and we work backwards from it — including the morning traffic on this stretch, which is not the same as the afternoon one.
We drop you in front of the quay, without crossing the commercial port area. If you are boarding a tender, allow twenty minutes or so: moving people and bags aboard always takes longer than expected.
Molo Luise is the private berth inside the port of Naples: yachts and superyachts moor here, and tenders come ashore from boats lying at anchor. It sits a few minutes from Molo Beverello and the Stazione Marittima, but has its own reserved entrance and is far quieter than the public quays.
