Your driver waits at the entrance to the centre, near the harbour: the cathedral square is pedestrian and closed to cars. From the hotels along the coast road, pickup is right in front of the property.
The drive from Amalfi to Naples Central Station covers about 61 km and takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Travelling to Naples Central Station, the time you leave matters more than the time you arrive: we suggest departing about 2 hours 5 minutes before your train, which covers the drive plus the wait at the terminal. Tell us the train time when you book and we work backwards from it — including the morning traffic on this stretch, which is not the same as the afternoon one.
We drop you at the closest vehicle access to the station entrance, so you only have a few metres to walk with your suitcases to the platforms or metro. If you have a high-speed train to catch, we build a safety margin into the departure time.
Napoli Centrale is the terminus of high-speed trains from Rome, Florence and Milan, and the hub from which every regional connection branches out. Walking out of the station with luggage and hunting for transport in Piazza Garibaldi is the least pleasant part of any trip: a private transfer removes it entirely.
