Your driver meets you on the arrival platform or at the agreed Piazza Garibaldi exit, holding a sign with your name, and walks you to the car helping with your bags. We check the train’s real-time status: if it runs late, pickup shifts with no surcharge.
The drive from Naples Central Station to Amalfi covers about 61 km and takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Coming from Naples Central Station, you do not need to plan anything: we track the arrival and the driver is there when you actually land, not when you were scheduled to. Waiting time is included, so a delayed flight or a slow baggage belt costs you nothing extra — you walk out and the car is already there.
We drop you at the pedestrian entrance to the old town, or in front of your hotel if it sits on the coast road. From there the Cathedral is a few flat minutes on foot.
Amalfi gives the whole coast its name and is the only village with a real square and a harbour: the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea and its great staircase dominate the centre, while behind it opens the Valle dei Mulini with its old paper mills. It is the hub for connections to Ravello and the eastern villages.
