Your driver waits at the closest accessible point to your hotel, on the main road or one of its side streets. Allow a few extra minutes: in Positano almost every property involves a short flight of steps.
The drive from Positano to Marina di Stabia covers about 26 km and takes about 55 minutes. The final stretch runs along the coast road carved into the cliff, a sequence of bends and tunnels with the sea straight below — spectacular to look at, demanding to drive. Your driver knows every curve and every passing point, so you can watch the view instead of the road.
Travelling to Marina di Stabia, the time you leave matters more than the time you arrive: we suggest departing about 2 hours 10 minutes before your boarding, which covers the drive plus the wait at the terminal. Tell us the boarding time when you book and we work backwards from it — including the morning traffic on this stretch, which is not the same as the afternoon one.
We drive into the marina itself, as close to your pontoon as we can get. If you are catching a ferry or a charter, we suggest arriving at least half an hour ahead.
Marina di Stabia is one of the largest marinas on the Gulf of Naples: a sheltered basin at the foot of Monte Faito, with pontoons for boats of every size and full services ashore. Pompeii is a quarter of an hour away and Sorrento a little over twenty minutes, which makes it a convenient base for anyone arriving by sea.
